Crematorium Guidelines
MAHA SANTHI VEDIC CREMATORIUM
Founded by Coimbatore Brahmana Maha Sabha
GENERAL GUIDELINES:
- Maha Santhi is a Trust founded by Coimbatore Brahmana Maha Sabha for the welfare of Brahmin Community.
- Maha Santhi's object is to provide all necessary facilities and feasible services for the Welfare of Brahmin Community.
- Maha Santhi Vedic Crematorium is one such facility for Cremation and Sanjayanam of the departed belonging to the Brahmin Community.
- BOOKING: The Cremation Services can be booked with a lead time of 48 hrs, depending on the situation and subject to availability.
Persons booking the Services must ensure that the body should be ready for Cremation atleast 30mins in advance of the scheduled booking time, after completion of all rituals. - CONFIRMATION: While booking, reference of one of the Vadhiyar registered with Maha Santhi Vedic Crematorium or Authorised Person or Trustee is a MUST.
- CHARGES: Various facilities provided by the Maha Santhi Vedic Crematorium can be availed on payment of fixed charges. The details are exhibited separately.
- CONCESSION: For the economically backward People, the charges can be subsidised on request subject to conditions.

- DOCUMENTS: People must provide the Doctors certificate/ Medical certificate and other required documents before Cremation. (Statutory requirements)
- CLEANLINESS: Cooperation from all is solicited for maintaining the Maha Santhi Vedic Crematorium premises neat and clean in order to have a peaceful/tranquil atmosphere.
People must ensure that all materials like flowers, rice, Dharbai etc. are removed and placed in the respective bins provided for this purpose.
If the residuals are strewn and left all around, an additional cleaning charge will be levied. - FOOT WEAR: People are advised to leave the foot wear in designated places. Foot wears are not allowed beyond the first entrance gate Brahma Dwaram.
- VEHICLES: Ambulance and Vehicles of Management,Staff and Vaideegas (Registered with Maha Santhi) will be permitted inside the Maha Santhi Vedic Crematorium. All other Vehicles must be parked only outside the Maha Santhi premises. Maha Santhi will not take any responsibility for the vehicles parked outside.
- DISCIPLINE: People are requested to behave in an orderly manner keeping in mind that they are in a Crematorium. Behaving in a manner disturbing the divinity of the place is not permissible. Any indiscipline will be viewed seriously and acted upon.
Management reserves the right to take suitable measures like withdrawal of admission etc. in such situations. - ASHES: Ashes will be kept under safe custody only 48hrs from the time of Cremation. After that it will be disposed.
- FACILITIES: People must ensure that all facilities provided are handled properly. Any damages for the fittings like Fans, lights etc. will be charged on user.
- CREMATION MACHINE: Every care is taken for the maintenance of the equipments, despite this if there is any failure in the system like electrical, mechanical or electronic devices etc., the management is not responsible for the consequences.
